Bookstall is on today Jan 31st

Well, it looks like it might be another fine day, fingers crossed. Lots of stuff to go on the stall this week and there are always deals to be done as I'm keen to shift merchandise. There are more wine and cigar boxes as well, you know the score. You wont know what's in the books unless you open them.

As an incentive, the first person to say the following will be able to choose two free art catalogues of his/her choice:
                                 "Every day is a schoolday."

It was a line I heard on River Cottage Australia (8pm on More 4 on Sunday) and what better way to learn something new than to grab a catalogue or two from the stall. You don't even have to buy anything as there is a free box there to plunder. What are you waiting for?

Bookstall is on today Jan 24th

Well, the forecast shows sunshine throughout the day today - so be prepared for snow. Lots of new stuff this week and I will try to get there early.

As an incentive to drag yourself out the first person to say the names of the Banana Splits as said in the Banana Splits song, ie:
                                             "Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper and Snork"

will be able to choose two free art catalogues of his/her choice. Come on, it couldn't be simpler. See you soon, Andrew.

Bookstall is on today Jan 17th

Happy New Year everyone! Time to get back into the swing of things as I've got so much stuff to sell on the stall. Auctionwise, there isn't much on at the moment apart from next week's annual Ski Sale at Christie's South Kensington which has lots of posters in it.

I've loads of cigar boxes and I'll have some nice wine boxes as well. I got around 40 a couple of weeks ago so I'm keen to offload them.

As an incentive, the first person to say the following will get two free catalogues of his/her choice:

"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation."

It's a quote from Henry David Thoreau's Walden which ought to be on everyone's bookshelf. Come on down or you wont know what you're missing. Andrew.
