Bookstall is on today Nov 19th

   It's looks like being another nice day and I've loads of new stuff on the stall this week. Lots of Asian Art, Contemporary Art & Photographs catalogues. There is also a few exhibition catalogues of portraits of Emma Watson at £2.00 each (Hermione in Harry Potter). I've got some nice champagne boxes with me this week, but only about half a dozen wine boxes.   van Sabben Poster Auctions in the Netherlands is staging the second of its twice-yearly sales on November 12th. 889 lots, many with very affordable estimates.

Vintage Travel Posters auction at Swann Galleries, NY, Nov 11th

   Swann Galleries, the NY auctioneer which specialises in the sale of Rare Books, Maps & Atlases, Autographs, Photographs, Posters and Prints & Drawings, is holding a Vintage Travel Poster sale on November 11th comprising 185 lots.

Photographs at Bloomsbury Auctions London Nov 16th & Rome Nov 17th

   Bloomsbury Auctions is holding two photographs sales in London & Rome on successive days on the 16th & 17th of November.  The London sale has 272 lots and the second sale has 191 lots.

Ralph Goings photorealist painting up at auction in Stockholm Nov 15th

   Included in Stockholms Auktionverket's Contemporary Art & Design sale on November 15th is a painting by the photorealist artist Ralph Goings. It's rare to see one of his paintings on the market outside of the US.

Posters auction at PosterConnection, San Francisco Nov 5th

   Well, this was today's sale which is probably over by now, but never mind. You can still see the catalogue of 479 posters featuring Advertising, Art, Military/Propaganda, and Travel/Sports.

Photographs auction at Bonhams London Nov 17th

   Bonhams in London will hold a photographs sale on November 17th at its New Bond St auction rooms.  The sale consists of 80 lots.

Terry O'Neill (British, b.1938) - Brigitte Bardot, 1971
Platinum print, signed and numbered '15/50' in pencil in the margin, and with the printer's blindstamp.
Number 15 in an edition of 50. Printed later. Framed. 19 3/4 x 15 7/8in. Estimate: £4,000-6,000.

Even if you are not in the position to bid on any of the lots, don't feel that you can't go and see them hanging on the wall. Treat the Auction Houses as art spaces that have ever-changing exhibitions featuring millions of pounds worth of art.

I'm back

   Right, well, my two-week break that I planned to take in August during the auction lull somehow became extended. I put this down to being hopelessly disorganised (I think I'm a severe case of ADD). Time to get the show back on the road, there's loads of interesting stuff coming up.
